Connection Instructions
These instructions apply to the following devices:
- QNA-600
- QNA-D500
- CVM-D50
- CVM-D400
Standard connection (public Internet)
To connect your device with Scout, make sure communications are properly configured and enable the connection with Scout:

- Access the device's web server.
- In the left menu, go to Settings → Scout.
- Enable the "Connect to Scout" option.
That's it! Your analyzer is now sending data. The last step is to add it to your project in Scout—follow the instructions below.
All set! Your device is now sending data. The only step left is to add it to your project in Scout.
Follow the instructions on the Add Devices page to complete the process.
2. Connection via VPN SIM card (optional)
These devices can also communicate with Scout using a VPN SIM card, which provides greater security by sending data over a private network.
2.1 Common VPN SIM configuration parameters
The following values must be configured on any device or modem that uses the VPN SIM card:

2.2 Configuration steps by device type
2.2.1 Devices with internal modem
- Insert the SIM card into the device.
- Access the device's web server.
- Configure the VPN SIM parameters in the following sections:
- Communication → DNS → Primary and secondary DNS
- Communication → Modem → APN, username, password
- Settings → Scout → Connection URL
2.2.2 Devices with Line M 4G module
- Insert the SIM card into the Line M 4G module.
- Access the module's web interface.
- Enter the common VPN SIM parameters: APN, username, password, Scout URL, and DNS.
2.2.3 Devices with external modem
- Insert the SIM card into the modem/router.
- Access the modem's web interface.
- Configure the VPN SIM parameters according to the common values.
- Save the changes and connect the device to this modem/router.
